ILLUSTRATION: Sam Chapman. Revised.

Post uni, I finally had some long overdue time to myself...which is a strange concept now thinking about it. Whilst I still had time to draw during my final year (-and created some fashion illustrations I still consider my best work), it's, for me, being able to differentiate between drawing for yourself as a hobby and a drawing that's considered work. The difference, being the pressure of producing something worthwhile, representative of a theme/season/idea, and time constraints, which is never the case when it's a hobby.

So my muse: Samantha Chapman. No there's not really some deep, meaningful intent behind this artwork. I just enjoy her Youtube videos, her carefree, artistic style and frankly, her devil-may-care attitude when it comes to - I quote- 'slagging off' things she simply doesn't agree with.

FASHION IN FOCUS: Rochas

Spring/Summer 2016

"Metallic jacquards in acidic hues, glossy patent leather..." says Scarlett Conlon, and to be frank, there's no better way to describe it!

Feels like it's been so long since I've actually talked about Fashion on this blog but I thought this followed nicely after my 'Tropical leaves' phase. Unfortunately for me, the trend doesn't seem one that'll stick, but it seems it is emigrating into other trends whilst maintaining the 'leaves' imagery.

Oil-slicked, shimmery, wild streaks of metallic colour have given new life to the once-loved trend. Personally, I feel like it's a look that might be more suited for the cooler months - and perhaps we might see more of a similar look then - but I adore Rochas' approach to the trend! This revamped look gives it a modern eccentricity, and frankly, a more expensive feel that sets the look apart from High Street. That distinction within this collection is made by everything from the shine of the fabric, the colours and the silhouettes,

WISHLIST: H&M Home

My latest interior obsession - similar to clothing trends - has been driven by the clever people at H&M. Why must you do this to me, you talented, clever (and slightly manipulative) individuals at Headquarter? Why must you prey on the weak?

How gorgeous are all these imagery?

Glassy bottle greens.
Water colour washes.
Tropical leaves.

What more could a girl want? Absolutely loving the contrasting clean-whites that give these imagery a pop of life and a modern look. As an avid H&M shopper, I have never felt this overwhelming need to deck every inch of my floor to ceiling with H&M Homeware.

No, this post is not sponsored.

Yes, I really wish it was.
